Our consultants come from a variety of backgrounds but all have one common goal: helping our clients to succeed.  Whether it’s helping technology companies tailor business value messaging or working with technology vendors and corporate IT organizations to value the impact of technology on business users, our consultants strive to help our clients succeed.

 

 

Management Team. Piedmont's management team has over 50 years of combined experience in IT and management consulting.  Below are the bios of Piedmont's management team.

 

Mark Bruening
 

Mark has fourteen years of consulting experience. Prior to joining Piedmont, Mark focused on the financial impact of technology at Navigant Consulting.

Mark has also worked for BearingPoint, focusing on IT strategy, implementation, and potential ROI for ERP systems.  Mark has served as a consultant for Arthur Andersen's business consulting group and Hewitt Associates.

Mark has an MBA from Emory University and received a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.

   
Daryl Schaal
 

Daryl previously worked at Navigant Consulting as co-lead of the Value Impact Analysis practice, which was spun off as Piedmont Consultants.

Prior to joining Navigant, Daryl worked on business development projects with Mirant Corporation. He was responsible for the analysis of acquisitions and new development projects. Daryl used various financial modeling techniques at Mirant to estimate returns on both short-term and long-term capital projects. He has also worked for General Electric in the power generation industry.

Daryl has an MBA from Georgia State University and received a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University.

             

Patrick Sloan
 

Patrick has fifteen years of software consulting and management experience.  

Prior to joining Piedmont, Patrick managed professional services teams at ADERANT, marchFirst (formerly USWEB/CKS), SCT and Accenture.  During his tenure at these companies, Patrick led consultative engagements with business decision makers focused on redefining business processes to meet key performance indicators and ROI metrics.  Patrick’s experience spans multiple industries and covers a diverse customer base including some of the largest companies in manufacturing, technology, professional services and financial services.

Patrick has a BA in Business Management from the University of Texas at Austin.

   

Faique Sayeed
 

Faique has over ten years experience in IT and management consulting.

Prior to joining Piedmont, Faique was CEO of nextFrequency, a healthcare software technology solutions company that specialized in driving ROI with innovative software solutions in patient flow and equipment tracking.  Faique has worked as a Manager for Capgemini and also Andersen's Business Consulting Practice, where he led multiple ERP implementations. Faique has consulted in a broad range of industries, including telecommunications, consumer products, healthcare, hospitality, transportation and professional services.

Faique holds a BBA and an MBA from Emory University.
